This post will teach you how to lose weight fast in a week easy. I am not a genie so this post is not about how you can lose 150 pounds in one week, or even 50 pounds for that matter.
This is for the moderately fat. You know, not too fat but you feel like you need to lose some pounds quick before it goes out of control.
Here it goes;
1. Use intermittent fasting
Fasting is one of the most effective methods you can use to lose weight fast.
In the normal sense it basically means, don’t eat food for a specific time period so that you can lose weight in one week. And that’s the whole gist. Even a child will understand that.
But there is more depth to fasting.
You can fast for 16 to 18 hours for some days; say 7, for you to start to see incredible weight change in your body.
This is how Terry Crews does it. He fasts for 18 hours to be healthy. And if you know Terry Crews you will understand what I mean.
If you eat dinner at 7pm and eat nothing till 1pm, then you have fasted for 18 hours. All you need to do is trade your breakfast for a cup of coffee or a glass of juice.
Do this for 7 days and see the remarkable changes in your body.
2. Exercise wisely
Exercise is one of the most overrated forms of weight loss. I have seen people exercise in the morning and go back to eating a whole lot of junk. And then they wonder why they are not losing weight.
That is why I included “Wisely”.
Exercise only serves as a catalyst to your weight loss and fitness routine.

3. Drink a cup of coffee
Drink a cup of coffee at the start of your day. Caffeine is a great source of antioxidants and is also a natural diuretic, which protects your cells from getting damaged.
You can also take tea if you are not much of a coffee drinker. I don’t drink coffee but I love drinking tea in the morning. That is my thing.
Especially green tea, which studies have shown can make you burn over 70 calories in one day.

4. Ignore the short-cuts
This is one of the worst things you can do when trying to lose weight in one week. It is one of the worst things you can do when trying to do anything worthwhile in life.
Never go for shortcuts in life – especially in trying to lose weight. (Try to write it down and say it to yourself every day).
That’s why I never like the weight loss pills situation.
I mean, if you want to lose weight, go the normal route. Eat healthy, exercise and live healthy all through.
The real shortcut is actually the hard work you put into it.
5. Increase your protein intake
If you want to lose weight in one week faster, you will have to increase your protein intake.
Protein has always been a very good source of losing weight and burning fat. And most people, including me sometimes, don’t get enough protein in our diet.
Since you are reading this post because you want to lose weight in one week, I suggest you increase your daily protein intake. Someone says you should consume half of your body weight in grams of protein each day at least.
And I agree.
6. Know the difference between hunger and boredom
In the past I use to confuse these two together. I eat when bored. And I notice it only happened when I am not busy.
You too must know the difference between hunger and boredom.
Studies have shown that boredom increases the amount of snacking and unhealthy eating in a person.
So, before you go for that snack, ask yourself if you are really hungry or just bored.
The trick is to check if you are actually busy, if you’re not, you are bored; but if you are, get a healthier meal.
Another trick is to wait for 20 minutes by going for a walk and see if you are really hunger. You will notice you were not really hunger after all; your body just needed a little movement.
7. Eat your food slowly
It takes about 20 minutes for the hunger pangs in your stomach to disappear when you start to eat. This means it is very easy for you to eat fast and overeat.
I had a friend who never spends up to 5 minutes when eating.
Needless to say, he’s chubby.
Chew your meals slowly. Better still; count the number of times you chew. You can make it 40 chews before you swallow.
This will make you eat less and you can be one major step closer to lose weight in one week.
8. Start lifting weights
Lifting weights and building muscles help you lose weight fast, look way better and also increase your metabolism.
This is not only for the men, ladies too. You can lift weights not to bulk up but to have a toned and sexy body.
You can get a 5kg weight or kettle bell and make lifting them a part of your everyday fitness routine.
9. Eat spicy foods
This is weird, right? I know.
This particular step will not make any significant change when trying to lose weight in one week, except if you eat a lot of spicy food in that period – which I don’t recommended.
But it can actually help you cut back on excess calories.
Trying to lose weight in one week can be tedious, especially when you decide to do all the things on this list.
We are humans and it is okay to fall short sometime.
The thing is that when you break a commitment, you start again. You can actually lose weight in one week if you are persistent enough.
