It’s the holidays again and we know how we get during the holiday seasons when it comes to food.
We eat… a lot! I do!
So, this post is about how you can burn that extra pounds you gained during the holiday period.
I will try to make this post as short as I can as I know you don’t want to read a long essay, you just want to know what to do to burn the extra holiday weight.
So, during the holiday period, you eat. You eat well and you eat to your satisfaction. But then the day comes when you have to go back to work; but you feel heavy and groggy.
What will you do?
For those who go to work
First things first, there’s nothing you can do right now. Go to work and manage for the day.
Have a light and healthy breakfast (we don’t want to add to the damage that has been done), and do everything you normally do in the morning.
Lets say you come back from work at 5pm; try to eat dinner at 6 – a very light dinner.
Don’t go to bed till after 10pm.
Don’t even lie down and do nothing.
Make sure you’re active and on your feet.
Let your body work!
The aim of this is to make sure your body uses up all the food in your system and you begin to feel hungry again.
When this happens, don’t eat anything.
Take a cup of green tea without any form of sweetener, and go to bed.
When you wake up the next morning, you’ll notice you feel a little lighter… and hungry.
Take a glass of water first, and then get yourself a light and healthy breakfast.
Do this for 3 days and you would have dropped those extra pounds you picked up during the holiday break.
You can also try to fast for those 3 days.
Try fasting from 6am to 6pm, and the only thing you can eat will be fruits, vegetables and water only.
If you don’t work, or if you work at home
If you work at home or don’t work at all, then this will be very easy for you to do.
You could try the methods above to lose weight in 3 days but you could also use a different method that can make you get rid of that weight in less than 3 days.
How can you do this?
You’re not going to eat any form of junk or sugary meals during this period.
Your diet should only consist of fruits and vegetables.
But you’re also going to add some exercise to it.
When you wake up you should go for a run for about 30 minutes, if you have a gym in your house you can do that also.
You could also do a little yoga. It may not be the quickest way to lose weight in 3 days but it helps.
After your run, have a cold shower.
The reason for this is that the cold will help break down the fat in your body faster.
Have a light breakfast.
Go about doing your chores or errands, you should stay active.
During your lunch, you can eat your normal ration.
But dinner must be light.
You should not eat anything again for within 6 hours before you go to bed.
If you normally go to bed at 10, your dinner should be at 4pm. If your bed time is 11pm, your dinner should be at 5pm.
Like I’ve mentioned above, this is so that the food would have digested and you may begin to feel hungry again.
It’s good, take a cup of green tea without sweeteners and go to bed.
You’ll wake up hungry…. and light.
Have a light breakfast and do this again for the second day.
At the end of the second day you will notice that your weight has dropped back to the way it was before the holidays.
Gaining weight in considerable amount is something that happens over a long period of time, which means you cannot add a significant amount of weight during the holiday period (which is 3 days, tops).
That’s why you can use these techniques to shed that small weight as fast as it came so you can continue with your business.
